Kudos for Pat Hallerday, Lead Tech

Saturday, April 10th, 2010

Hello Mr. Sutton,

My name is Jim McDonough and I took delivery of a Komfort Resort trailer last Friday. Pat Tallerday did the walk through at delivery and was excellent. He answered all my questions and more importantly he was very patient. This is my first RV and I am a novice at all things RV. I have never towed anything. Pat never laughed at me and was very thorough in explaining the trailer’s features. He even offered to help me install the equalizer hitch the next day before my 4 hour drive back to Puyallup, WA. On Saturday my family showed up to retrieve our new trailer and Pat was there as promised to demonstrate the equalizer hook-up process. When it was complete he asked if I had a brake controller. I told him that we have a new GMC Denali that came with a tow package, so I thought we were okay. Pat offered to check for me and discovered that it was pre-wired for a brake controller, not installed. So I was prepared to head out to the nearest GMC dealership for a few hours delay to get a new brake controller. Pat then said that he can sell me one and even offered to install it for me. He took me tin the store and showed me the two available and let me decide. There was no one on duty to take my money so Pat said I could settle up on Monday over the phone. I was flabbergasted – who let’s customers take a new product with a promise to pay later in this day and age? Well, then Pat proceeded to install the brake controller in my car for me and even explain the basics while doing it. What a fantastic employee you have Mr. Sutton! He was able to install the new controller in just 15 minutes and still be prepared for a scheduled delivery shortly thereafter. Please extend my thanks to Pat for a superb job. I think he deserves a raise!

I will definitely recommend other people to your dealership in the future.

Thank you for a great experience and for hiring such caring employees,

Jim McDonough

Dear Mr. Sutton:

We are writing this email to thank you and your staff for the extraordinary experience we had purchasing our 2011 Ever-lite by Evergreen. It was a wonderful and stress free experience starting with our negotiations prior to the sale and ending with our purchase. Our salesman, Craig, was always eager to listen, inform, and keep us up to date as our rig was shipped from Indiana to Sutton’s. We have never made such a purchase from any out-of-state dealership (since we reside in AZ) and were extremely impressed with the ease in which it all took place.

Despite the “challenge” presented when we arrived in Oregon to pick up our Ever-lite–because a window broke during the rigs transport from Indiana to Sutton’s–your general manager handled the situation in a very professional, respectful, and sensitive manner. After the situation was taken care of, we had the pleasure of meeting many of your other team members including Mark and Tom and were, once again, impressed with their professional warmth and commitment to do all they could to make our experience with Sutton’s a wonderful one.

We want you to know that, prior to our purchase from your dealership, we visited your website often and read about your dealership in various magazines. Your dealership was rated as one of the most reputable on the west coast which is what encouraged us, initially, to make contact with you regarding our purchase. And let’s be candid, many people have had very disappointing experiences both during and after their purchase of an RV and we did not want that to happen to us.

We want to, again, thank you and your team for such a wonderful experience and also want you to know that we will enthusiastically recommend Sutton’s to anyone interested in purchasing an RV, even if they live in a state other than Oregon. It was well worth our drive and we would do it again. Thank you sir, and cudos to your excellent team!

Happy Holidays,
Angie & Cheryl Plunkett

Dear Mr Sutton:

This letter is very long in coming but that makes it no less important. Your service department is absolutely EXCELLENT!

Last spring we had a water leak that we discovered just as we were leaving for a trip. We stopped in at your service department in the hope that something could be done as it is hard to camp without water. Your service department was swamped but they took the time to see what could do. As a matter of fact, your staff treated us as if they or one of their family had the problem. We were lucky and they found the part and got us on the road in almost no time. We were so very thankful for that help as it really saved our trip. Others sell RVs but it is service that will keep us coming back again and again.

Please give my thanks to the staff.

Dear Mr. Sutton,

I just wanted to write to let you know about the pick up experience for my new Airstream International 19 which we picked up on Friday September 4th, 2009.

We first met with our salesman, Steve, who has been extremely helpful throughout. I would send any of my friends who were looking for an RV to him without qualms. He helped me show my wife the Flying Cloud model (which I wanted her to see for comparison as she was not able to be present when I was doing the final selection) and after we took care of the financial matters he escorted us to the service/delivery area and introduced us to Scott and Noah (who was to do our walk through).

Scott was great at explaining the parts department to us, and Noah did an outstanding job of showing us how everything worked, making helpful suggestions and answering our plentiful questions. We then went back to Scott who helped us pick up the things we needed to “complete the package.”

Your staff was friendly knowledgeable and extremely accommodating. The facility was clean (including the immaculate restrooms, (much appreciated by my wife) and overall it was a fantastic delivery experience.

Of course we are very happy with our Airstream also!

Thank you for a great experience.

Sincerely,
David and Lynn Pass

It’s been over four years now since my wife and I bought our 28Ft Airstream CCD International from George and Martha and the great impression the experience of dealing with Sutton RV left still remains. Next to our home, our Airstream is the largest investment we have made and more then a little nerve racking. We live in California, within easy driving distance of two Airstream dealers, but in person neither one of these dealers made us feel as comfortable or at ease with our purchase as Sutton RV did from OREGON, and after all that George and Martha were kind enough to deliver our silver beauty themselves. To this day when someone asks about where our “Lu-Lu Bel” came from I tell them the best place to buy is in Oregon.

Letter sent to Airstream, Inc.

To Whom It May Concern,

This letter is in reference to George Sutton R. V. in Eugene, Oregon.

Making a substantial purchase is often a frightening experience, especially during these times. My wife and I had looked for a new Airstream Bambi DWR for quite some time and finally found one for sale at Sutton R. V. in Eugene.
As we live in Florida, all of our dealings had to be done over the phone, long distance. We initially spoke with a Mr. Joe Weeks who was friendly and competent. After many calls to Mr. Weeks…who showed uncommon patience with us., a deal was struck.

My wife and I decided we would drive from Florida to Eugene to pick up our new Airstream. However, by the time we had driven to Nashville, we realized we would not have time to drive out west and back before my wife had to return to work. We called Mr. Weeks to advise him of our situation. In short order, Joe informed us that the owner, Mr. George Sutton and his wife Martha, would be willing to drive the unit to Dallas if we could meet them there.

We happily agreed on a date. Mrs. Sutton called us from the road a full day before we had expected to meet them saying that they were in Dallas waiting for us. They had driven 14-hour days knowing that we had a time crunch.
My wife and I met them in the dining room at the motel and felt as if we had known them for years. They both put us at ease, answering all of our questions, and spent extra tune with us doing a walk-through of the Bambi. On our way home, they called to see how we were progressing and once again stressed that if we had any questions at all, to call them.
Not only did we come home with a new Airstream, but we feel as though we also made new friends we plan to visit on our first trip out west. George and Martha Sutton are wonderful ambassadors for Airstream. You are lucky to have them represent your product.
