The Airstream International Travel Trailer - Sterling Series
Pushing the Limits of Forward-Looking Design
Introducing the newest travel trailer designed by Christopher C. Deam and built by Airstream. With two eye-catching color schemes, rich textures, modern lines and, of course, a level of quality that only Airstream can provide, the Sterling is destined to be an instant classic. You won't have to leave your sense of fashion and style at home when you are traveling in the new Sterling. You can choose between the stunning Arctic Dijon, or the fun and chic Obsidian Violet, both with elegant, modern lines and rich textures that deliver a timeless beauty that you will enjoy for years to come.
You are cordially invited to tour one of these unique travel trailers at Sutton RV. The striking décor is reminiscent of a mid-century, ultra-modern home with clean lines and luxurious textures. Available in two floorplans, the all-new Sterling is truly a masterpiece.
The most striking design feature of the Sterling series is the use of anodized aluminum surfaces for the interior. Deam wanted to bring the unmistakable appearance of the Airstream's exterior to the interior of the unit and use a premium, lustrous material that provided plenty of light and reflectivity. The aircraft-like aesthetic and modern monocoque design required high precision, resulting in a product that is both aggressively modern and timeless.
The Arctic Dijon color scheme features bright yellow woven vinyl flooring that has a soft, luxurious feel and is perfectly complemented by the white ultra-leather upholstery and classic midcentury Merimekko fabric used throughout the unit. For both décor options, all countertops and rooflockers are edged with pure aluminum extrusions which harmonize with the aluminum interior skin and premium fixtures in the galley and lavatory.
Sterling Series Floor Plans:
Founder Wally Byam knew that a rounded, low-profile shape would make towing easier and more stable. And he knew that aluminum would make his trailers as light as possible.
The successful combination of shape and lightweight design has made the Airstream travel trailer world-renowned for its superior structured integrity. That's because the Airstream employs semi monocoque construction, using a riveted inner and outer layer of aluminum stretched over the frame. This way, the skin itself becomes a working part of the integral structure.
